Call for Music Tutors!!
MONDAY/WEDNESDAY/THURSDAY MUSIC AND ARTS YOUTH GROUPS:
Beatroute Arts seeks creative and dynamic music practitioners to deliver engaging music tuition as part of our youth programme. Sessions run from 6pm-8pm on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, during term time and we are currently looking to fill a range of positions across these evenings.
We are looking for music tutors who are comfortable working with individuals and larger groups, who can turn their hand to songwriting, as well as a range of instruments and approaches including the use of music technology in our studio. We want to work with individuals who can take a responsive and flexible approach. The successful applicant will not only be a skilled and energetic music practitioner but be accomplished in working in a community setting, building positive and engaging relationships with young people.
The rate of pay is £35p/h
VIOLIN TUTOR, ‘TAKE A BOW’ YOUTH STRING TUITION PROJECT, TUESDAY EVENINGS
Beatroute Arts seeks a creative and dynamic violin tutor to deliver engaging tuition as part of our successful ‘Take a Bow’ project. The ‘Take a Bow’ project has been running for over 10 years, supporting young people to take part in early years musicianship activities, progressing to stringed instrument tuition alongside ensemble and theory workshops.
As part of the Take a Bow team, the violin tutor will be responsible for delivering small group and one to one violin instruction to young people.
The successful applicant will not only be a skilled and energetic violin tutor but be accomplished in working in a community setting, building positive and engaging relationships with young people, many of whom come from an area high on the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation.
Take a Bow runs weekly, generally term time, on a Tuesday at the Beatroute Arts Centre from 5.30pm-8.00pm.
The rate of pay is £40.50 per hour

Term dates for the upcoming autumn term are outlined below and successful candidateS would be expected to commit to these dates as well as planning or evaluation meetings as required:
w/c 19 August – w/c 9 December with a break w/c 14 October.
These are freelance positions which will be contracted at the beginning of each term.
